With a non-custodial wallet, you are entirely responsible for managing your cryptocurrencies and the security of your wallet and blockchain seed. Greenhood doesn't store any user data and can't help you if you lose your seed. Greenhood is also working on further security through NFC security keys. These NFC keys (in the form of keychains, rings, or cards) are required to approve a transaction. In the event of loss or theft of your phone, there is no risk whatsoever, because no transaction can take place without these additional security keys.

A seed is a string of words that acts as a password for your funds on the blockchain. This string of words is crucial because it's the only way to access your assets. The seed essentially represents a private key used to sign your transactions. This means that every time you make a transaction, your private key creates a digital signature to prove your ownership of the wallet. This signature cannot be forged, making your assets safe as long as your seed remains secret. Therefore, you should store it carefully and securely.

Your funds are stored on the blockchain, and your seed is the key that proves your ownership. If someone else has your seed, they can access all your assets. **So never share your seed with anyone.** Copy the seed onto paper or a USB drive and store it safely! NEVER put the seed on a medium that can end up in the cloud.

Someone with your account address can potentially see all your transactions. Therefore, make sure that important accounts with large amounts of money are not used for payments to third parties. Greenhood has developed technology to guarantee 100% privacy, so that third parties cannot verify your transactions, even if they know your account address.

First, you can lock your app with a PIN code and/or biometric lock, preventing others from easily accessing your wallet if they have your phone. It's also important to store your seed securely and never share it with others. The seed proves ownership of your assets on the blockchain and is used to sign transactions. Without a seed, you won't be able to recover your assets if you lose access to your wallet. By enabling PIN and biometric lock and backing up your seed, you ensure your account and assets are well-protected. In addition, functionality to add multiple administrators and/or keys will be available in 2026. This will allow you to require more than one signature to sign a transaction. This multi-signature mechanism offers a higher level of security than most current banking solutions, as it requires multiple approvals before a transaction is executed.

If you lose your seed, you will lose access to your wallet and assets. It is therefore crucial to store your seed securely in multiple safe places. A safe place could include writing it down and storing it in a safe place. It could also be digitally stored on a USB stick. In any case, make sure your key does NOT end up in a cloud storage system. Please note: Greenhood cannot help you restore access without your seed, as we do not have access to user seeds to ensure your privacy and security.

EURe is a stablecoin pegged directly to the euro. **This means that one EURe is always equal to one euro.** EURe is a stablecoin issued by Monerium, a digital exchange. Monerium guarantees the peg to the euro through an underlying system of reserves and regular audits. For every EURe issued, a surplus of euros is held in a secure, audited bank account. Regular external audits ensure that there are always sufficient reserves to cover all issued EURe, providing trust and stability to users. This allows users to trust that the value of their EURe will remain stable and will always be equal to one euro.

You can add EURe to your wallet by converting fiat currency, such as euros, through the Monerium exchange. You can request an IBAN through the Greenhood wallet and link it to a Greenhood account. As soon as you transfer euros from your regular bank account to your Monerium IBAN, Monerium will convert it to EURe (a digital stablecoin linked to the euro) in your Greenhood account. You can then use these EURe to pay directly to another Greenhood wallet or with your Gnosis Pay card anywhere in the world.

Using the basic payment functionality of the Greenhood app is free. Third-party fees will be charged (in the future). For example, Gnosis charges a cent for infrastructure usage, which Greenhood currently advances, but will be billed in the future. Furthermore, Greenhood may charge for advanced features (in the future). All costs will be communicated transparently.

The EURe is a stablecoin, meaning it's pegged to a regular currency. For the EURe, that's the euro. However, a stablecoin can also be pegged to other currencies. For example, the USDC is pegged to the US dollar. Bitcoin is more like an investment. Its value fluctuates depending on supply and demand. Greenhood has chosen a stablecoin as its payment method, so you don't have to worry about its value.

A crypto exchange is a kind of currency exchange, but in digital form. It exchanges fiat currency (euro, dollar, etc.) for digital crypto coins (EURe, USDC, etc.), with the value of the EURe guaranteed by reserves in the form of bonds and shares. An exchange must therefore meet strict financial requirements such as MICAR and is regularly audited to ensure it can meet its obligations and prevent fraud.

Greenhood strives to comply with EU MICAR regulations. The Greenhood wallet is a non-custodial wallet, meaning that the user is solely responsible for managing the wallet seed key and managing the cryptocurrency. Greenhood facilitates this only by providing a non-custodial wallet service. Regulations for non-custodial wallets are less stringent than for custodial wallets because the end user is responsible for their own assets and management of wallet seeds. Custodial wallets are often managed by banks.

In the future, it will be possible to invest in the Greenhood cooperative. We are working on an investment coin on the blockchain. Once that is ready, it will be possible to invest in the Greenhood cooperative.

Monerium is a crypto exchange, a digital currency exchange. Monerium converts fiat currency (euros) into crypto coins (EURe in Monerium's case) and provides equivalent value through bonds and shares.

It's currently best to use Greenhood for payments under €250 to limit your losses if you lose your phone or seed. If you're confident, you can also use Greenhood for higher amounts, but we want to remind you that you bear the risk in all cases and are responsible for security and maintaining a backup of your seed. Greenhood cannot help you if you lose your seed, as we don't store any user data. Greenhood is still working on NFC key card technology that will ensure that no one can make a transfer without multiple keys. This will ensure your money is safe even if you lose your phone.

Greenhood cannot help you recover your PIN because the user data is only stored locally, and we cannot manage it. However, if you've made or saved a copy of your seed, you can completely delete the wallet from your phone and then reinstall the Greenhood wallet. You can also create a new PIN at that time. NOTE: Before doing this, make sure you've made a copy of your seed or check that you still have the copy you made earlier. Without the seed, you won't be able to access your funds on the Gnosis blockchain!

An account in your Greenhood wallet is like a box in your wallet. You can create and use boxes/accounts for specific purposes. If you've created a Monerium account, there will be a box linked to your Monerium IBAN. The same applies to your Gnosis Pay card, which will also be linked to a separate account in your Greenhood wallet. You can also create other accounts, for example, for monthly groceries or a savings account.

Gnosis Pay has set a limit of €350 for spending with your Gnosis Pay card. You can adjust this limit via the Gnosis Pay website:

2. Log in with your email address.

3. Look under the menu item 'Transactions', where you'll see 'Spendable today' in the top right corner.

4. Here you'll see your limit and can click 'Edit'.

5. Then connect your wallet using Metamask

Note: Adjusting the limit will be possible starting in October via the Greenhood wallet. Until then, you must connect to Gnosis Pay with a Metamask wallet to change your limit. We recommend waiting until October.

Yes, Monerium may be required by a government agency to freeze euros sent to your account. In this case, you will not be able to file a claim with Monerium. Monerium is required by European law to be able to do this.

Not yet. Monerium is working on this. As soon as Monerium supports automatic SEPA transfers, Greenhood will integrate this functionality into the wallet.

Monerium has a 102% coverage ratio requirement, which is higher than a bank's. Like any financial institution, Monerium can fail, but thanks to its 102% coverage ratio and external audits, the risk is lower. On the other hand, there is no government support, and the guarantee does not apply.

Currently, many of the services are free, such as Monerium and Gnosis Pay Card. This may change in the future. Fees will then have to be paid directly to the provider. Yes, you can restore your Greenhood wallet on a new device by entering your seed during the app setup. Make sure you've saved your seed securely, as this is the only way to restore your wallet. Safe storage options include writing it down on paper or saving it to a USB drive. Do NOT save your seed to a storage device that will end up in the cloud. The roadmap includes creating a local encrypted backup of your user data, such as your accounts, keys, and address book, so you can easily import these as well.

Greenhood is structured as a cooperative. We are currently developing a blockchain-based membership system. Once that's complete, it will be possible to become a Greenhood member.

You won't see any coins other than EURe in your Greenhood wallet because the wallet currently only supports displaying EURe. While you can convert your EURe to other coins on the Gnosis Chain via Cow Swap, these coins aren't yet displayed in the Greenhood wallet. Multi-coin overview support is on the roadmap. Until then, you won't be able to see these other coins in the Greenhood wallet.

Cow Swap offers a convenient way to convert your EURe to other coins on the Gnosis Chain.
